The Rain
the cool drops fall
gently away;
loosed from the cloud-covered sky.
falling, falling
down through the grey;
drawn to the earth from on high.
how many fall?
we cannot say;
yet there is One who knows why.
He measures each
drop and causes
the rain to fall gently away from the sky.
