Ethelbert on God’s Peace
God has shor led me thru
sum mighty big storms,
by the Peace ‘at He gives –
Peace ‘at guards an’ transforms!
I jist cain’t explain it…
its beyond me to say…
‘cept His Peace in my mind
has kept fears far away.
when thar’s spurs in my heart
gnawin’ hurtful, they sting;
they would eat me alive
‘cept to Jesus I cling!
fer Christ stills the yearnin’
fer what here jist cain’t be!
thru the Peace ‘at He gives
to His childurn like me.
